Knowledge Base MCP
Gives agents read access to your internal documents, wikis, and structured records, with source attribution and ownership boundaries.
What this MCP helps an agent do
What it does
The Knowledge Base MCP exposes your organisation's documents and structured records to agents through a single, permissioned interface. Every result is returned with a source pointer and an owner tag so downstream workflows can apply access boundaries and attribution.
Why it matters
Agents need trustworthy context. A knowledge base MCP makes the difference between an answer that cites the source it came from and one that sounds plausible but can't be verified.
Status
Planned for private beta. Reach out if you have a document corpus you want agents to work against.
Setup
- Connect a document source.
- Map the access boundaries you already use.
- Point your agent at the MCP endpoint.
Authentication
OAuth against the connected document source; scoped to read access only.
Permission scopes & access
Read-only. Honours the source system's existing permissions model.
Known limitations
Does not write back to the source. Large corpora may require an indexing step.
